Planned Giving and Endowments (PG&E) is vital to the future of the Jewish community because it is the vehicle by which we insure that we have enough resources to fund our Jewish community forever. Federation’s Annual Campaign funds our local social service agencies and our Jewish international objectives.  You might consider the Annual Campaign the Jewish community’s checking account for today and the PG&E as the savings account for the future.   The successful combination of the two will ensure that our community can continue to support our current and future needs.

Locally, our Jewish community continues to grow each year, and as a result, we must respond with services to support the increasing numbers of frail elderly, and provide for the future of our young families and children by creating and supporting quality Jewish education and programs that attract and integrate them into Jewish life. The burgeoning need for these services will not be supported solely by incremental growth in the Annual Campaign.

The post-World War II generation of committed Jews was instrumental in building and supporting Jewish institutions all over the United States, including our community here in Palm Beach County. This same generation supplied the funds to build Israel, rescue other Jews from all over the world and provide them with the promise for a new future among other vital services.

Our Federation’s Major Gifts Division is one of the most successful in the United States largely because this same group of committed Jewish philanthropists found a new home in Palm Beach County. While new major donors join in the effort each year, our most committed Jewish donors will  be able to provide sustainable support for the programs that they hold most dear by creating endowments that will continue to fund these services into the future and ensure our Jewish survival.
